I have a very love/hate relationship with gadgets. On one hand I think,I dont want to become reliant on gadgets that dont last and deprive us of actual human contact,on the other hand, they are the first things I run to when buying a gift or wanting one. When we went to buy our computer,(which was not that long ago)I was leary about the effects such a device would have on our famiy life(can I say I was right?).But we bought one anyhow, and being the photo geek that I am,I had to have a printer/copier/scanner,too.When it came to digital cameras I was also hesitant, all of the ones I had seen before pixilated the photos. But after having the computer for awhile- and hating the developing process,I have once again given in.The husband fairy did bring me a digital camera for christmas and I love it!Santa claus also brought the kids each a child-friendly digital camera. Now we all have one!In the matter of fact, this is the most technologically advanced for a christmas as we get around here,as evidenced by the picture above that Baby girl took with her digi camera of Lovely and one of her santa claus gifts. And then there is their most favorite gift from us(that at one point in time,I was adamantly opposed to…because of the lack of excercise and reliance on gadgets{once again})-the razor ground force, aka,a go cart.
( I am not ashamed to show that my house is a wreck on Christmas day-isnt it fabulous?)
I had refused thus far, to buy my kids a “Power Wheel” anything…..and yet here we are, with another motorized form of transportation built for children.Heres to standing up for what you believe in( and to giving in, for your kids)
We did have an excellent Christmas. We have spent lots of time together, with no fussing or fighting amongst the kids, may I add.Jamie and the kids all got out and played basketball. We spent most of the day ,with his mother, sisters, our nieces and nephew on Christmas day.We spent Christmas eve with my mother. And the kids got to open a few presents early, which we never do.We are already sick of the food.Midnight last night;all I wanted was a hamburger……..
I hope everyone had a wonderful christmas that was full of their families, food and fun!And that no one forgot why we actually have a CHRISTmas.

Looks like it was a fun Christmas! Did you get the kids the fisher price digi camera? That looks pretty neat for kids! Kyla took a great pic and I bet the kids will have a blast with the go-kart!
i’m trying again…other blogs have let me sign in sithout google, so we’ll see. i LOVE seeing pictures! go digital crazy!…and then post crazy! happy new year to you, too!
Michelle-Those are the fisher price digital cameras…..I love them and the kids love them too…..You can delete all the pix that dont make sense before you upload so that is good, not real complicated to use either…..they are definitely worth the money! It is also neat to see the world from the kids perspective.
Brandy-It worked!!Yay! I missed your comments.I have to shrink all my picture files down, they are too large to upload so that takes awhile but I will definitely be using more photos in my blogs from now on!!!Since I have had the camera,I have taken 400 pictures….LOL
Karsyn wants a digital camera bad, wonder where she got the photo gene, haha!
Glad to hear the fisher price camera is so great for kids! I was thinking about getting Kayla one for her birthday – or Christmas next year
Thanks for the tip about purchasing the attachment for the vsmile so I don’t have to keep buying batteries – I’ll go look into that now!
I know what you mean. I once promised myself never to buy those Leapster learning system, telling myself that pretend games and actually reading to your child are better.
I gave my 3-year old a Leapster this Christmas. Hmm.
Have a great year ahead.

i would like to give the kids a camera, too, for exactly the same reason you mentioned – i would love to see the world from their perspective.
have a happy new year!
